About Mary

Hi! I'm Mary Katherine, a former preschool teacher and current nanny looking for a (new) family or families in the Richmond area to work with. I'm looking for a full time (30-50 hours per week) position. I have a 2. 5-year-old daughter that I would bring with me until the Fall of 2023, when she would start preschool. I have over 13 years of experience as a preschool teacher. I've taught toddlers through Pre K, as well as Summer Camp for school aged children. As a preschool teacher I wrote lesson plans for multiple age groups, incorporating specific goals to support academic as well as social emotional development. My current nannying position is coming to an end with the child's entry to preschool. I've been with them since January of 2021 and have had a wonderful time with the children, going to parks, museums, and doing art projects at home, as well as other educational activities. I believe that children learn best through play and meaningful interactions with others.
