As a Homehealth Aide, I have taken care of elderly people for over 20 years. Some have dementia, some use a walker, and some are bedridden. My experience is based on working with and without companies and privately. Each person and situation is different. All ADL's are accomplished, including but not limited to being a companion to your loved one. I am very aware that not speaking to a client can lead to either dementia or speed it up. My client and I laugh and talk about all sorts of things. I look forward to meeting you.
