About Mary

I am a newly retired schoolteacher with a degree in elementary ed. and an emphasis in early childhood. I have over 30 years of experience from pre-K to 6th with the majority of my experience with kindergarten and 1st grade ages. I am also a mom and a grandmother of a toddler and a newborn. I am comfortable caring for up to three children ages 0 - 12. My patient and calm demeanor coupled with an ability to engage kids in a fun way allows me to connect with children easily. I enjoy reading to kids, crafts, games, puzzles, as well as creating educational activities. I am active and enjoy taking discovery walks. I am comfortable with meal prep and tidying up in addition to childcare. I foster open communication with parents, updating them on their child's day and any issues that arise. I am CPR/ first aid trained and have my own car to transport if needed. My goal is to stay connected with and continue to nurture children while balancing the ability to support my own kids and grandkids.
