About Mary

I am a newly retired schoolteacher with over 30 years of experience from pre-K to middle school, with a focus on first grade, kindergarten ages. I am also a mom and a grandmother of a toddler and a newborn. I am comfortable caring for up to three children ages 0 through 12. My patient and calm demeanor coupled with an ability to engage kids in a fun way allows me to connect with children easily. I enjoy reading to kids, playing games and puzzles, as well as creating activities that will also educate at the same time. I have no problem with meal prep and tidying up in addition to childcare. I am flexible so can be available for date nights, babysitting, and part-time weekly schedules. I foster open communication with parents, updating them on their child's day and any issues that may arise. I am CPR/ first aid trained and have my own car to transport if needed. My goal is to stay connected with children while balancing the ability to support my own kids and grandkids.
