About Mary Lou

I have a masters degree in education and 25+ years teaching experience, grades K-12, in regular education and special education classrooms (learning disabilities, ADHD, autism) with both large and small groups and individuals. I offer proven strategies and techniques for teaching and/or re-mediating reading, writing, spelling, social studies and history grades K-12. I also tutor in math and science up to grade 8. I enjoy teaching to the student's learning style and interests, using activities appropriate to their age and maturity level, including games, music and hands on activities to promote learning and retention of concepts.
