I am a former reading teacher and have worked in the local schools with elementary school children for several years. I enjoy working with children because they are fun and full of promise! Also, I love being a positive and caring presence encouraging them to create, blossom and develop into healthy people. I chose to leave teaching to pursue an interfaith chaplain's internship at the medical center in Burlington three years ago. My favorite part of this experience was spending time with the children on the pediatric floor. Children have a remarkable ability to tap into a resilience even during difficult times with the loving support of others in their circle. I have always learned a lot of very valuable lessons from children about life and am always honored to be a member of their circle.
