About Maryellen
I have years of experience as a teacher working with students from elementary age to community college and adult education. I retired as a school counselor and have continued to work as a tutor and teacher. My strengths may be in the area of language arts: reading and composition but I am not limited to those subjects. I am also great at science, elementary math, social studies, history, biology and social sciences. I am especially strong at study skills, organization and studying for tests such as the ACT, SAT, and GED. I strongly believe in the ability of every student to learn and reach his/her full potential. At the risk of sounding "over the top" I believe it is my mission to help students believe in themselves and achieve more than they ever thought possible. I just want a chance to prove it to your child.
