About Mary

I am a FTM and single mother by choice. So although I went into motherhood knowing I was doing it all on my own, I still had (have) many of the typical FTM questions, concerns, mistakes, etc. Mary has been with me since I went back to work after maternity leave and in many ways served as a second parent to my daughter. I work a crazy schedule that includes 14-hour night shifts. So having been comfortable from the very beginning that my daughter would be well taken care of, loved, protected, and safe when I’m not around has been the best thing I could ask for. Plus, with Mary’s extensive knowledge and experience I have been able to rely on her to help me think through things, make parenting decisions and decide what to buy when there are 50 options that claim to meet my needs. She has had lots of excellent suggestions for how to make my life easier or how to get through certain situations more easily. And she has made it clear that she views taking care of me as part of her job. It’s clear that she cares about both of us tremendously, which has been such a blessing. I also must add that I have two very different but very needy and poorly trained dogs that Mary has put up with and endeared herself to.
