I'm a retired social worker. I'm looking for part time work. I enjoy being with people who are coming near the end of their lives. Since retirement in 2021, I've been part time caregiver for 3 different individuals. I provided services such as meal planning and preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, hygiene and personal care, transportation, medication support, home maintenance. While I am not certified as a caregiver, I have Hands on experience over the past 4 years. In addition I cared for my parents in my home in their later years; my father had Parkinson's and my mother had cancer. I wouldn't trade that time for anything.

Mary cared for my 90+ year old Mother during her long decline. At times my Mother was herself, but other times she could be anxious and difficult. Mary remained calm and loving regardless of the situation. Mary was so patient and spoke gently. It helped my Mother be calm and she knew Mary would always be helpful at a time when she lost so much control in her life. My Mother just passed a month ago, but always relaxed when Mary arrived. A great and reliable caregiver!
