I enjoy tutoring elementary school children as I believe their foundation for learning and for being successful in life starts here. When they have a good command of the basic subjects, there isn't anything they can't do. I approach this work with patience, positivity, and encouragement. My specialty is supporting children to improve their English/reading skills including writing, vocabulary and spelling. I prefer meeting in person as I have seen the most improvement through this method versus meeting online. I am also comfortable assisting children with other subjects such as math. I have two year's experience tutoring elementary school children in English/reading.

We began tutoring with Mary when my daughter was in 3rd grade. Mary helped her get on-reading level and made her a confident reader. Now in 4th grade, my daughter loves reading! Mary is patient and kind. She makes learning fun. I highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling to read and needs help making it click.
