About Marycela

We hired Marycela to care for my husband after his shoulder replacement. In the beginning of his recovery, she took care of all of his needs: icing his shoulder, medication, preparing food, and assisting with personal care. She even helped him to put his contact lenses in! As his recovery progressed, Marycela was particularly sensitive to allowing him to take on more activity when he could, and stepping in as he got tired, or tried to do too much. In addition to caring for my husband, Marycela kept busy by doing tasks that he would ordinarily do: light cleaning, picking up the groceries, etc. This was particularly helpful, and enabled my to come home from work and focus on his care, rather than all of the household chores. Marycela developed a great relationship with everyone in the house. We hope he will not need so much care giving in the future - but if he does, Marycela will be my first phone call! She is fabulous.
