About Mary

I have been a certified TX EMT/Paramedic for 40+ years. I am a retired professional firefighter. I had an LVN license before I became a firefighter. During these years, I worked with many children in emergency and non-emergency situations. I have worked as a substitute teacher at a local elementary school. I worked for a year with a deaf 3rd grader. I was awarded the distinction of Volunteer of the Year at an Elementary School for the hours I gave to the students - kinder through 5th grade. For over 50 years I have worked with people of all ages, including small children, teens, adults and the elderly. I have raised a child of my own. For the past 8 years, I have homeschooled 2 children, cared for their home, provided enrichment excursions, took them to and from appointments, prepared meals, grocery shopped.
