About Mary

I hired Mary in October, 2021 to be a part-time caregiver for my wife Jody, who had Parkinson's Disease and PD Dementia. Mary worked several shifts each week, ranging from four-seven hours each shift. While on duty, Mary took very good care of Jody, including: feeding her several times a day with delicious nutritious meals; bringing her meds to her - which were several different meds and taken every 2 hours from 10 AM to 9 PM; helping her to dress and undress; helping her shower; cleaning her up whenever she had an "accident" (incontinence was a growing problem for Jody); and getting her outside to go for walks and get some fresh air and exercise. Mary also worked with Jody on various word games and puzzles, worksheets given to us by a speech and language therapist, to help combat her cognitive decline. Through all of this, Mary was always very pleasant and friendly, and very attentive and compassionate to Jody; Jody very quickly came to like and trust Mary, and seemed very comfortable with her.
