I am a recent grad of St. Catherine University and currently work in my field part time as a school occupational therapy assistant. I have training and experience in working with kids with special needs including autism and ADHD. My background in OT gives me expertise in developmental milestones, behavioral management, and in building activities to offer kids the just right challenge. I have been babysitting since I was young and have continued to provide care for over 15 years. I have worked with over 11 families with diverse backgrounds and over 21 kids total, ranging in age and needs. I love to create fun projects and take kids on outings to local parks and museums as weather permits. I tend to favor getting kids into active, creative and outdoor activities verses screen based activities. I am known for giving patient, firm and wholehearted care. Mary was the best thing to come into our lives and the life of our son. She was by far the best care giver we have had for our autistic son. He absolutely adored Mary! It was the best part of his day. Mary knew exactly how to communicate with our son...she would find what his interests were and use that to communicate and create activities for him to do. She was kind, patient, caring and super smart! I would recommend Mary to any and everyone! I just cannot say enough good things about her! Thank you Mary for all you have done for our family!!!
