About Mary Ann

I have been a care taker since the age of four. I went to a high school for students wanting to go into the health care profession- I wanted to be a neonatologist but my plans changed. When I was 18, I enrolled into CNA and HHA training excelling to the top of my class. I completed training for medication administration well as pharmacy technician courses. I recently graduated from UMASS-Amherst majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. I am currently seeking my Master's in Social Work from Boston University. I have worked in assisted living, early childhood education, mental health, and volunteered at a state based organization. I have worked with individuals living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD, and others. When I worked as a CNA/HHA the requirements were light food preparation, vitals, assist with medications, personal direct care and activities of daily living.
