About Mary

I'd describe my personality as friendly, empathetic and organized. I like tutoring because I can work one on one with a child. This makes them more comfortable with learning, as they don't have to worry about their peers knowing that they are struggling. I'm looking for a job tutoring a young child that allows me a life balance in my retirement from teaching. In my spare time, I like to workout, hike and read. One thing you should know about me is that I am a very conscientious person. Family is important to me. I have worked as a elementary teacher for 36 years in the same district. 29 of those years were teaching first grade. My skills include being intuitive to my student's needs, being flexible in adapting my teaching, and being responsive to my student's performance.
