About Martha

I started babysitting when I was 13 yrs. old. I have been a nanny for 11 years. I love kids & have lots of experience taking care of infants, twins, & older children. I worked for a school district for 5 yrs., as a teachers aide, in various classrooms, including a special needs class. I raised 2 daughters of my own, including one who was deaf & had other special needs. I enjoy teaching sign language to the kids I nanny for. My 1st nanny job was 3 yrs. When I started, I the kids were 3 & newborn twins. I have been at my 2nd nanny job for the past 8 yrs. I started there with a newborn, & now watch 3 boys. My current duties include cleaning up after the kids, loading & unloading the dishwasher, light housekeeping, laundry, running errands, cooking meals etc. The more I can do to help the parents, the more they can focus on their family. I believe experience & the amount of duties should reflect the salary. I enjoy taking the children I nanny for to the park, Children's Museum, swimming, play dates with other nanny friends etc., as well as hanging out reading, baking cookies, playing games & other activities at the house. I have loved watching the children I have nannied for grow & hope to do the same with your children.
