About Marta

My professional childcare journey began in 2008 as a classroom assistant in a Montessori toddler classroom. There I learned the importance of involving children in all appropriate aspects of their lives, including cleaning and feeding themselves, as well as the importance of treating them with the same respect you would an adult- children are people too, after all! This idea may seem overly simplified or basic, but it has been fundamental to my experience and approach to childcare. From there I enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at the Community College of Denver to become a certified care giver and to learn more about child development and developmentally appropriate language and teaching practices. My greatest goal in caring for children is to consider their whole being, head, heart, hands, and how best to nurture them and foster curiosity about themselves and the world around them.
