I am an experienced caregiver, now a CNA. I was working for agencies with clients with MS, brain injury, ALS, dementia and in hospice in facilities. I was feeding them and giving them showers. What I do for my clients is as listed: light housekeeping: mopping, sweeping, cleaning toilets, loading and unloading dishwasher, and laundry. Shopping, taking clients to doctor appointments, (recently I bought a new car with a good GPS), cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner and doing errands, etc. I'm comfortable with personal care, including showering, bed baths, dressing/undressing the client, helping with ambulation, moving client from wheelchair to the bed, from wheelchair to the toilet, from toilet to the wheelchair, from wheelchair to bed, washing hair, foot care, catheter care, mouth care, and peri-care. Recently I have been working with a quadriplegic male and I am familiar with a bowel/shower program. Each person is different and I learn from the beginning when I take care of a new one to fit his/her needs as much as possible. As far as child care, the majority of my experience came from raising my own son. Additionally, I was a babysitter for two children for one of the families who contacted me via Care.com. One boy and one girl, ages 7 years old and 6 years old. I love children and children feel save with me. I can take children from school, help with their homework, and prepare food. Changing diapers for infants and feeding them is not also something new for me. So if you are interested, contact me please.
