About Marley

I have been babysitting since I was 11 years old, and began with several families from my hometown in Barrington, IL. In high school, I had a lot of experience working with kids. I began lifeguarding at our local beach, and had experience giving swim lessons to kids from ages 4-7. I also became a preschool teacher through a high school, and spent two years teaching the kids basic math, science, and reading skills. This gave me expertise with incorporating learning with playing. In college, I spent my summers as a nanny. The first two years with a family of three boys, and the next year for a family with quadruplets, so I have experience managing high-energy environments! I have experience with newborns as well. I spent several summers babysitting a family with two toddlers and a newborn. I am comfortable managing tasks across the board, from changing diapers, and preparing meals to managing schedules. I prefer for kids to play games and be creative, rather than watching TV all day. I am always trying to find new things to do to keep it interesting for all of us!
