I have experience working with neurodivergent children and adolescents in multiple settings throughout the past 15 years. My time as a Level II Teacher at the New England Center for Children (NECC) provided me with a thorough understanding of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and clinical experience working with children with brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, or diagnosed with autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, and/or bipolar disorder. I am reliable, caring, and passionate about helping children with special needs reach significant milestones at their individual pace.

We initially hired Marla to help with our child with autism and adhd. He can be pretty challenging to provide care for, and we had been through a number of child care providers in an attempt to find a positive solution. Marla provided that! She came with kindness, curiosity, respect, charisma and a huge amount of experience in dealing with children who perceive the world differently. We also have two younger neurotypical children, and they enjoyed being with her and requested time with her. We were able to go on dates again and not worry about the children. She could manage the complicated dynamic with the three of them and balance the intense interpersonal relationships they have. She is incredibly vigilant and attuned to their needs. We are so grateful for the time we have had with her. We hope she returns to live in our area; it was a true gift for our family to have her insight and help.
