About Marla

My name is Marla, and I'm a 30-year-old from Los Angeles. I earned my BA in Sociology from UCSB in 2018. My passion for working with children began when I was 18, and over the years, I've gained experience caring for children of all ages, from 2 months old to 17 years old. I've worked as an afterschool program leader, a health educator for teens, and currently, I serve as a case manager for unaccompanied minors arriving in the U. S. In addition to my experience, I've completed several child development courses, which have equipped me with the knowledge to support children in a nurturing and developmental way. I'm fluent in both English and Spanish and can assist with homework, meal prep, and light housekeeping. I have a clean driving record, my own insured vehicle, and I'm comfortable with pets, especially dogs. I am available on Fridays after 5 p.m. and weekends for date nights or to help parents with errands or much-needed me time.
