With the recent publication of my book, The One-Idea Rule: An Efficient Way to Improve Your Writing at School and Work, I am establishing myself as a thought leader in the field of writing. The impetus to write this book came when I had the opportunity to revive some writing precepts I had devised in the late 1990s as a lecturer in Harvard College's History and Literature Program. About 20 years later, I became a writing coach at Harvard Business School and then revived those precepts in one-on-one tutoring sessions with MBA candidates. I was pleased to discover that the one-idea rule worked for graduate students as well! Since the publication of One-Idea in August, I've given talks and have created instructional resources about this writing methodology for a variety of audiences. The methodology I've created is easy to remember, easy to apply, and allows students to develop their writing styles with confidence.
