About Maritza

I'm a positive, enthusiastic, honest, patient and caring person. I enjoy being with kids, watching them grow and learning from them. I love to be outside with the kids, I like to take them to hikes, playgrounds, play dates, story time in the libraries, as well as doing crafts, dancing, baking and playing at home. Back in my home country Colombia I used to volunteer in preschools and babysit on the weekends. I am a good swimmer, I was lifeguard, as well as an experienced driver with excellent driving records. I have 7 years of experience with kids from newborns to 12yrs old. I've been in the DMV area for 5+ years, I came as an aupair and took care of two boys for 2. 5yrs (18 months, first boy), then they added a baby to the family who I took care since newborn. Since then I have worked in a long term basis with two families whom I can give you references. I truly care about the kids I take care of, I am compromise in their confidence, safety and healthy cognitive and emotional growth.
