For the past 5 years, Maritza was my mother’s companion. She was kind and compassionate, and provided companionship and social interaction. She helped my mother stay physically active by taking walks, and made her light lunches when needed. My mother enjoyed watching TV, listening to music, and chatting with Maritza. Maritza was available to help her get dressed and eat her meals, give her medication, and enter the shower when necessary. My mother always said to was a great listener and a joy to be around.
