About Marissa

I help students improve their reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills by using virtual books and educational websites through zoom by working with them through Springboard Collaborative and Center for Success during their school year and summer break. In addition to mentoring, I tutor 4 students year round in math, writing, reading, and spelling. I am a vaccinated full-time substitute teacher through the district of Waterford. I currently substitute teach at Children's Village Juvenile Detention School full-time. I have experience in 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade subjects and special education and resource room subjects. I also attend Wayne State University's graduate program in Secondary Education with my concentration being in Social Studies. I will take my Michigan Test for Teaching Certificate in the summer of 2022.
