About Marissa

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, kind, caring I like working with kids because I love engaging with their personalities and walking with them in learning and growing I'm looking for a job that is hands on and fits alongside my graduate program (evening classes). I started working with kids when I was a teenager babysitting, but have 8 years of professional experience running 1st-8th grade after school programs and overseeing a community center for 100 families. In my spare time, I like to read, go on hikes, try great coffee shops! One thing you should know about me is I'm very passionate about kid's agency and hope to create a safe environment with good boundaries where kids learn how to make great decisions. I love activities and I'm all about having fun! My skills include being an attentive listener, being flexible and adaptable with various behavior needs, and cultivating an engaging environment.
