My background includes serving as a registered behavior technician for a company that provides in-home behavioral therapy to children on the autism spectrum. I worked as part of a team to assist clients between the ages of 3 and 7 in developing functional communication skills, social skills, self-control, and play/leisure skills. In addition, I provided behavioral therapy within a clinic setting. I worked 1:1 with toddlers with autism under the supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, teaching adaptive and pre-academic skills with a focus on functional communication (effectively communicating wants and needs). Most recently, I worked my second consecutive summer at Ramapo for Children, a summer camp serving those with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, including those on the autism spectrum.
