About Marissa

I love kids and I have extensive experience in early childhood education, teaching, and childcare. I am currently a fourth-year medical student with more time in my schedule looking to babysit/nanny! I have worked as a teaching assistant at Georgetown University daycare center (2016) and at Holy Spirit summer camp (2019), planning and implementing age-appropriate programs, games and activities for 18-month to 6-year-old kids. I have volunteered abroad 3 times in Childcare and Teaching English programs. Since I was 14 years old, I have served as a monthly babysitter for families and been a counselor for numerous academic and sports camps for kids in 3rd grade through seniors in high school. Outside of my childcare experiences and prior to medical school, I worked in for a refugee resettlement agency, pharmaceutical company, and a cancer center. I believe in encouraging children's learning and development through positive reinforcement, promotion of independence, and care and affection.
