About Marissa

Tutoring / Baby Sitting: I am an English for Educators Major and a Junior at Ohio Wesleyan University. As a kid I was always great at learning but I found it incredibly difficult to learn topics I found unnecessary or boring. This is why I wanted to be a teacher (along with my love for teaching). I want to help students learn, enjoy learning, and feel good about themselves based on what they've learned and the effort they've put in. Although I'm studying to be an English teacher, I was an honors graduate in high school and was going to get an Integrated Science Degree, before realizing I love reading. I can help with Math, Science, and English. Pet Sitting: I started working with animals when I was very young. I've had animals in the house ever since I could remember. I started pet sitting around middle school and loved it ever since. In my spare time, I like to watch movies and hangout with my friends. My best weekend involves a nerdy board game and my family!
