About Marissa

We've had the privilege of working with Marissa for the last two years as a full-time nanny for our daughter, from the age of 6 months to 2.5 years old. However, "nanny" does not do justice to the place that Marissa holds in our hearts, as she is truly now a part of our family. From the initial phone interview, we knew something was different about Marissa. We first recognized her integrity, experience, sense of responsibility, maturity, and sincerity within 10 minutes of talking. As nervous, first time parents finding a nanny online, Marissa put us at ease very quickly with her professionalism and intelligence. Meeting her in person only confirmed our confidence in entrusting the care of our daughter to her. Marissa's honesty, selflessness and hard work ethic are strong values we admire in her and contribute to an excellent working relationship. Over the course of two years, we were continually impressed with Marissa and if you speak to those around us, EVERYONE knows how much we adore her and her commitment to our family. She is extremely punctual and reliable, and you can be confident that she will follow through. Marissa was always engaged with our daughter: taking her for regular walks, playdates, creating learning goals to help our daughter achieve her milestones, setting her on a schedule, etc. She communicated her observations to us well, and would bring up these conversations as the need arose. As a new mother, Marissa was also very sensitive to me - it was often hard for me to leave for work and she would give us time together. She would send us pictures and messages throughout the day, which was touching to know she was thinking of us as parents. Even during separation due to Covid19, we have video chats with Marissa and our daughter is delighted to "play" with her! We highly recommend Marissa to any future employer who is seeking to hire someone with such commendable qualities founded in faith and love.
