I love working with children and have been doing so since I was in 8th grade! I currently work as a nanny for a 6 yr old. 2020-21 I worked as a pod teacher for 4 children and continued to work with the families into summer. I have experience as a camp counselor for 3 summers at Sonoma Academy of Dance and Arts and also 1 summer at an overnight nature camp, tutoring, volunteering at Pets Life Line camp, and also volunteering for 2 years teaching environmental studies to 1st and 2nd graders. I've babysat for over 20 families - some for 4-6 years, and looked after children ranging in age from infants to teens. I value creativity, outdoor activities, art, music, nature, reading and like to limit electronic activities/television when I babysit. Marissa helped out with my 11 yo daughter for over a year in the afternoons with homework, outings, dinner, hiking, etc. She even took my daughter surfing and my daughter absolutely loved her. Marissa is an amazing young woman....intelligent, caring, friendly, responsible, punctual, heart felt and a great role model for any child. Anyone would be lucky to have Marissa and I cannot say enough good things about her. I would trust her to excel in any position she takes.
