I have always been attracted to helping those with special needs. Having an older brother who is severe cerebal palsy and cordially blind has given me experience in working with someone who is nonverbal, in a wheelchair, and suffers from seizures. My brother also has issues with constant drooling so I'm am used to having drool flung on me when he gets excited and starts throwing his head around. I always find myself drawn to interact with those with special needs because I love the pure joy they get out of me coming up to say hi. I also enjoy learning more and more about the different disabilities and how to help.
