Last January-July I lived in beautiful Australia as a live-in Au pair to 3 fantastic and fun school-aged children. In this role I provided before and after school care as well as accompanied them to sports, lessons, and speech therapy. Prior to that, while in my undergrad, I gained experience working in group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities, as well as in a group home doing programming, working in a private daycare (all babies under 2), and volunteering in my church nursery. I am currently apprenticing with a Love land-based midwifery practice which occupies my Mondays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. While my formal education is in public health, I am passionate about children's early development and education, and believe that every child deserves to be engaged in age-appropriate, educational, and stimulating activities and experiences. I believe the way we learn is to interact with the world, and what a joy to show that to someone and share in that with a child!
