About Marissa

Hello! For the past year I have served as an AmeriCorps Member at By Grace Women's Transitional Home. My official title was "Community Service and Outreach Coordinator", but a lot of what I did was make sure the home ran efficiently. The women called me a "house mom." My daily tasks included housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation of our residents to and from appointments. I also planned activities and events for the women and their children to participate in such as a beach trip, seeing a musical, and baby shower. I'm active; passionate about physical and cognitive stimulation. Children bring me joy and I consider taking care of people to be a talent, one that I also definitely believe I possess. I always joke with my friends about how I am too domestic for my own good. They agree.
