I was an assistant teacher at a non-public school for students with disabilities. During my 2 years there, I accommodated students with a range of emotional, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities while utilizing trauma-informed instruction. With my years of experience as a former art instructor and P. E. teacher, I am able to keep children entertained and active for hours. My volunteer experience includes assistant coach for Sertoma Baseball Camp for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, instruct. aide at Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center, and construction work for The Mirror Foundation of Thailand. In addition to my background in education, I am a tireless caregiver with a growth mindset. As a mentor, I am patient with high expectations, approachable but firm, and constantly finding opportunities to encourage each child.I would be absolutely honored to help your family by guiding your children through these important years of their lives. The world needs more people like Marissa. I'd hire for her any position, not just babysitting. She took so much initiative to take the load off me from the second she entered my home. I tried to hire her as a part time nanny and almost cried when she said she wasn't staying in town. You're lucky to have her if she is available.
