About Marisa

I have an AA in psychology and am currently enrolled at Western Washington, pursuing a bachelor's degree as a Recreational Therapist. I am taking the summer off and plan to resume back for the fall. I have taken course work in developmental lifespan psychology along with trauma informed care, and currently certified in CPR, BLS. I have 10+ years of experience working with kids and have worked with toddlers, children, youth, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs. My most recent job was working as an Applied Behavioral Analyst for kids with autism, working in a wide range of settings. From clinical settings, community settings, home and at school. Some of my experience with kids with developmental and behavioral needs ranged from working with a 5-year-old who was nonverbal to a 12-year-old, helping him with behavioral management and aggression. Prior to this position, I worked as a summer camp counselor and have been a sitter/nanny since I've been 16.
