About Marisa

Hello! My name is Marisa and I'm a Recreational Therapist certified through NCTRC since 2019. A Recreational Therapist works with individuals with disabilities engaging in recreation and leisure to improve their quality of life by working on physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual goals. I have many years of experience working with individuals with various disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, TBI, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, OCD, and more. I'm starting a small business doing Recreational Therapy with individuals with disabilities in the community! I'm looking for interested clients who would like to go out into the community for 3 hours or so-two to three times a week. We can do activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, going to the gym, going to theme parks, going to nature parks, going to coffee shops, etc. I am able to adapt anything to your needs and abilities!
