About Marisa

I'd describe my personality as caring, intelligent, and funny. I like working with kids because I enjoy engaging with their curiosity and sponge like ability to learn new things as I like to teach. I am planning on going back to school for my doctorate degree in psychology so that I can work them during their formative and adolescent/teenage years. I have a teen daughter and take pride in the fact that I had a hand in watching her grow into a mature and thoughtful young lady. I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility so that I can continue my education, a warm welcoming work environment, and employers that want to work together. In my spare time, I like to play video games, learning new skills, cooking, and shoot outdoor and pet photography. One thing you should know about me is I am a big kid at heart but believe in structure, routine, and flexibility when appropriate. My skills include I engagement, meeting children on their level, and working as a partner to the parents.
