Hi, I am 36 years old and am very passionate about child care. I have been a nanny for 4 different families over the last 14 years and am coming up on 4 years with my current family. Before becoming a nanny I attended Lansing Community College where I took a year long course In early childhood education and development which began my passion and love for child care. Over the last 14 years I have worked for children ages 2 months to 7 years old. I have also assisted in a classroom for pre-k children. I am very experienced and have done just about everything. I have taken the kids to and from school, Doctors appointments, play dates, running errands and educational trips to museums and libraries. I am a firm believer in education and have worked with younger children on their letters, numbers and reading so they are prepared for school. I love doing crafts and art with children as well and letting them explore their creative side. I look forward to hearing from you!

The first words that come to mind when I think of Marisa are: reliable, trustworthy, gentle and patient. Marisa started working for our three children when they were 5 months, 2-years-old and 4-years-old. They are now 3, 5 and 7-years-old. For the past three years, Marisa has provided superb care for our three children, 3 days a week in our home. She was responsible for breakfasts and lunches and getting the school-age kids to and from school along with everything in between! She was never once late. Marisa also proved to be flexible and was willing to go above and beyond and work outside her "set" schedule. She is an excellent communicator and has truly found her calling in caring for children. Marisa played with them and encouraged their interests. She spent many hours doing art projects with the kids, baking, playing right alongside with them and taking them to parks and museums. The kids love her. One day my neighbor's grandfather took the time to pull me aside and tell me he had overheard Marisa and the kids playing in the yard. He told me how wonderful she is with the kids, which I already knew, but it was nice to hear and a testament to Marisa's skills and personality. Marisa brings a lot of experience, patience and love of children to the next family lucky enough to work with her. I offer her my highest recommendation and am truly grateful for her coming into our lives.
