About Marisa

Hello, I'm passionate about caring for children and guiding their individual development. I started babysitting for neighborhood kids when I was 7 years old. While in graduate school in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was a live in Au Pair for a 2-year-old girl and her 4 years old brother. In Chicago I've been a Part Time Nanny to 3-year-old boy girl twins. I've also been a Resource Teacher at Northwestern Memorial Early Childhood Center caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartens. My duties included meals, potty training, sleep training, teaching manners, art, writing and reading. When caring for children at home we enjoy reading books, building train tracks and legos, baking and cooking mac n' cheese and doing art. When the weather is nice, I enjoy taking kids to the playground, on walks or adventurous city. I also have Montessori Teaching experience for 18 mo. - 5-year-olds.
