About Marilyn

Caregiving professionally, as a parent, family member, or as a citizen serving others for the greater good exists as my core identity. I am a retired Registered Nurse dedicated to serving others for 40+ years. I am driven to offer attentiveness, communicate effectively, and convey sensitivity as a caregiver as well as perform all role expectations with professionalism, competence, resourcefulness, and compassion as character traits essential for meaningful, purposeful caregiving. For two decades, as a daughter and niece, I provided care for family members, particularly as my parent's primary caregiver. My father's 2018 Alzheimer's diagnosis was challenging as we endured losses due to predictable cognitive decline, pathophysiological deterioration, and increasing supervision requirements. In conclusion, my nursing care experience, ability to work flexible hours, and experience housekeeping and with meal preparation will benefit seniors who require assistance to remain safely at home.
