I worked full-time in a nursing home for six years in Boston while going to school. I moved to Columbia, South Carolina to take care of my mother when she fell I'll for three and a half years. My mom is my rock so seeing her as sick as she was was hard but knowing I was there to help made a difference. A touch and a smile is worth so much. After my mom got better I finished school and went back to work. I enjoy spending time and caring for people because when you treat people the way you would want to be treated it comes easy to you. And I hope that when I need a touch and a smile one day that someone kind will be there as I am.
