I was nanny for a professional family in Liberty Park. My job responsibilities included caring for two boys, ages 6 and 8, and taking care of other household duties, such as cooking, grocery shopping, laundry for the children, scheduling, car maintenance, and other errands. Earlier this month, the family moved to another state, so I am currently seeking employment with a new family. I started my career in education and child care several years ago, when I served as a teacher's assistant in a Head Start pre-school. After my daughter was born, I worked as pre-school teacher at a day care center, so I could be with her during the day. After a few years, I was offered the assistant director's position at the center. My leadership with this organization later inspired me to open my own private preschool, which I ran for four years. Over the years, I passed down my love and passion for education to my daughter. I am delighted to say that I am now the proud mother of a daughter who has just recently completed her PhD in education. After all these years, it is so exciting to learn from her; she definitely keeps me up to date on the latest research in education and child development. A child knows when someone genuinely loves and enjoys being with them. Children always feel very secure with me, and take to my outgoing personality immediately. I believe that serving as a caregiver is truly a gift, and I look forward to working with a family that seeks the highest level of care for their children.
