About Maribel

Although I have not been paid to professionally watch children for a long time, I have been taking care of children for a long time. Throughout raising my own children and helping watch my nieces and nephews, I have a lot of experience in child care. I began to professionally be paid to be a Nanny for my neighbor's children (5 ranging from ages 6 months old up to 7 years old) while she and her husband worked their jobs, full time. I would engage in play with the children, take care of their needs (such as diaper changes, making snacks, making small meals, etc). After 5 years, I stopped working for her and her husband when they moved out of the city. However, I realized throughout the years how much I missed that job and being able to watch these kids grow and give them a nurturing environment in which they can flourish both socially and emotionally. Now I am in search of a job hoping to find a similar experience and make a difference in the lives of a family.
