About Maria

Hello! a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Spanish and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. I am currently looking for childcare opportunities to supplement my income since I've always loved spending time with little ones. I spent two years after graduation as a covid-era middle school Spanish teacher in school, where I taught both virtually and in person. In this position, I trained in and implemented restorative justice-centered behavior management techniques, which I continue to use to this day. I now teach dance classes (tap, ballet, and hip hop!) to children ages 3-9. I am also the oldest of 6 siblings- I've been a babysitter for as long as I can remember! In my free time, you can find me in the kitchen - I love to cook! With severe food allergies myself, I'm well-experienced with navigating food sensitivities and allergies.
