I have been a registered nurse for 35 years with acute care experience in medical surgical nursing, intensive care nursing and post operative surgery recovery room. I am originally from Las Vegas, NV and went to Bishop Gorman HS and UNLV. I enjoy working with people and continuous learning, so the healthcare field was a perfect choice for me. I have lived in the Bay Area for 30 years and worked at hospital in the ICU for 3 years. I met and married my husband after moving to the East Bay and we have six biological children, ages 15 to 26, one girl and five boys. I took off several years to raise them and care for aging my parents. My mother is still alive and lives in Las Vegas. I enjoy keeping up with changes in medicine, palliative care and quality of life issues. My father used hospice for his lung cancer in 2018. He lived longer than expected and was able to stay at home the entire time with good pain support and quality of life.
