To date, I have a total of 35 years of childcare experience. I started my babysitting career at 11, and grew into nanny and daycare jobs in my teens and early 20s. When I was 23 I became a foster parent and adopted and raised four boys on my own. My youngest is permanently brain damaged and is dependent on me. (He's developmentally 3-8, but chronologically 24, and usually needs to come with me. But he's helpful) My passion is childhood development and I am very comfortable working with ANY age and most behavioral/developmental issues. I also really enjoy elderly people and animals. I don't have any formal schooling, but have spent the majority of my life taking classes, trainings and searching for answers to stimulate but also soothe the right parts of growing brains and hearts. I LOVE books, parks, walks, crafts, science, baking, mud... anything to bring fun and education together. I also love working hand in hand with parents to support and nurture the parent/child/sibling bond.

Maria was our full time nanny until our child transitioned into day care. I would hire Maria again in a heartbeat! Maria was the best thing to happen to our family; she loved our child like her own, she listened and supported our parenting style, was helpful in creating and supporting a nap/ eating schedule, was proactive with fun games/ developmental activities, and was flexible when we had early mornings or late nights. She is absolutely the best and we are so grateful to have found her.
