About Maria

I have been taking care of newborns, toddlers, and small children for more than 20 years in Virginia, D. C., and Maryland. I have worked with individual families for many years, the longest being 8 years with a family of five children. Most recently I have worked with a family with one child for more than four years, including during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have reference letters for each family I have worked with. I love taking care of babies and toddlers with a focus on mealtime routines, nap, playtime, stories, outdoor play (taking walks and going to playgrounds), and meeting up with other children for playdates. I can also work as a doula for newborns. I am happy to follow a no-screens policy if this is what parents prefer. I am able to do some cooking and light housekeeping in addition to child care. I am a naturalized U. S. citizen. Nonsmoker, fully vaccinated, dependable and punctual, have my own transportation, with a long track record of helping families!
