About Maria

Hello, my name is Maria, I am a 39-year-old Latina who loves to work with children and being part of their development. All children are smart and wonderful, they learn each of the behaviors that we model as adults, which is why I believe in positive guidance and respectful parenting. I am bilingual, I speak English and Spanish. I have acquired my experience with children mainly in my role as a mom, I have two beautiful daughters for whom 14 years ago I decided to stay at home and dedicate myself to being a full-time mom. Right now I am working part time with two different families looking after their children a couple of days a week, (I have references) I am also a part-time student at Las Positas College in Livermore. I currently have an Associate teacher certificate, 24 units of early child development, as well as 150 hours of supervised practice with children. My goal is to continue preparing and studying to give the best of myself to each of the children in my care.
