Hello! My name is Maria and I am looking for a part-time babysitting position. I currently work in Pilsen for an after-school program from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. so I am looking for a morning part-time position. I have a lot of experience working with children and love doing it! Last year I worked on the southwest side in a Chicago Public School. I tutored and mentored fourth graders and worked with them on managing their behavior in the classroom. It was a grueling yet rewarding job that changed my life. In the long run, I see myself working towards advocating for children in forgotten communities as a counselor or social worker. I have been a nanny and babysitter for many children over the years. This past summer I cared for a child with severe ADHD and anxiety. In college, I interned in Waukegan as a Reading Center Coordinator in a summer camp called Beacon Place, managing more than 50 children at a time. I look forward to hearing from you! Maria

Maria has worked as a part-time caregiver at my home childcare for the past 2 summers, and as an assistant for the 2 years prior to that. Maria is a very conscientious worker. She is organized, responsible and reliable. Kids are drawn to her positive energy and easy smile. Maria has had a lot of experience with children from infancy up to 13 years of age. She knows what activities are appropriate for different age levels and plans activities and play time accordingly. Maria is a hands on caregiver who gets on the floor and plays, colors, paints, uses her creativity to help facilitate imaginative play, organizes outside games, and gets dirty in the sandbox. She is exactly the kind of person that kids love and parents can trust.
